The 7th annual CERT Part II will serve as a foreseen follow up event to the 6th Annual CERT workshop held last year. It will keep the same focus on cooperation between national/governmental CERTs in Europe and their national Law Enforcement counterparts.

Workshop on ontology and taxonomies for critical infrastructures

Existing standards in the field have so far only addressed resilience indirectly and thus without detailed definition of the taxonomy and thus of the semantics of security. The primary purpose of an ontology and taxonomies defined in this context is to use them as the basis of definitions and processes in the future work. A taxonomy is most often defined as a classification of terms and has close a relationship with the use of ontology.

The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and the Institute for Computer Science (ICS) of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) are jointly organizing the 4th Summer School on Network and Information Security (NIS), to take place in Crete, Greece, 27 June – 01 July 2011. The aim of the School is to bring together Policy Makers, Managers and Experts from industry, as well as members of the Research and Academic Community.

The Round Table session 'Global Secure Software Initiatives - Beyond Awareness' is organized by ENISA and OWASP. It will be at the OWASP Appsec Europe 2011 Conference in Dublin. Appsec Europe 2011 brings together many people from the field of secure software engineering. With this session we would like to follow-up on some of the discussions at the previous OWASP summit in Lisbon, and discuss what can be done to ensure that all the valuable guidance and tools produced are really put into practice in the wild.
