Code of good administrative behaviour

Good administration is a right that the public is entitled to expect when interacting with a public body. It involves adhering to laws and procedures, safeguarding citizens' fundamental rights, and delivering high-quality services

ENISA follows the principles of good administration set up by the European Ombudsman in its Code of Good Administrative Behaviour. The Code of good administrative behaviour contains the basic principles for the staff of the Agency to direct their relations with the public.

These principles include: lawfulness, non-discrimination, proportionality of measures to the aim pursued and consistency in administrative behaviour.

The aim of the Code is to guarantee the delivery of high-quality service to the public by the Agency and to inform the public of the standards of conduct that they have a right to respect in their dealings with ENISA.

The Code can be downloaded from the European Ombudsman's web site.

ENISA also established its own Code of Conduct, which outlines expectations for staff behavior towards colleagues, supervisors, and the organization, as well as their conduct towards citizens and stakeholders.
